Srinagar, April 30 (KNO) : Strongly condemning the ‘dastard acts’ of strangulating the already ailing economy of the Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference (G) spokesperson Tuesday said that blockade of trucks loaded with fresh fruits, vegetables, live stock and other necessary edibles has rendered the wide section of business fraternity bankrupt and jobless. Heavy financial losses and a wide range of debt trap are being deliberately knit to destroy the economy of Jammu and Kashmir, he said in a statement issued to KNO. Displaying its solidarity with the fruit growers association at Parimpora Srinagar, a high level delegation of Hurriyat Conference on the direction of its chairman Syed Ali Geelani visited Fruit Mandi Parimpore. Taking a dig on the administration of Jammu and Kashmir, the delegation also expressed its solidarity with the contractors union who have been marginalized and ignored in all the state constructional activities as compared to the nonresident contractors of the state. Hurriyat (G) delegation described the Indian policy of exploiting the economic interests of the state as ‘authored by Israeli planners’ to push the state’s economy in a vicious circle of poverty. The delegation appreciated the business and labour classes of the state for its hard work, zeal and zest and managerial skills to keep up its pace of growth through all odds and blockades put forward by the aggressors since long times back. Hurriyat (G) delegation expressed its hope that the nation shall lead its resistance movement through all odds, come what may.(KNO)
